Kentucky Chautauqua Series at the Highlands

Join us for delightful evenings downtown, engaged by exciting performers who will share fascinating and inspiring characters from Kentucky’s past!
WHAT, WHEN & WHERE: Presented by Kentucky Humanities, our first annual Kentucky Chautauqua Series features monthly dramatizations of Kentuckians who made valuable contributions in our state’s history. The series will run November – March, for a total of five (5) performances, all at 6 p.m. Thursday evenings here at the Highlands Museum.
COST:
– Series of 5 performances for $100 ($50 for members*)
– Single performance for $25 ($15 for members*)

Dec. 8 – Marcy Carson Brekinridge “Call the Midwife”
Jan. 12 – Colonel Sanders “Hard Work, Luck and Perserverance”
Feb. 19 – Black History Month: William Wells Brown “How I Got My Name”
Mar. 16 – Jean Ritchie “Damsel with a Dulcimer”
